UMHS School of Medicine is the ONLY medical facility that houses more virtual human simulators than any other medical school in the nation, next to the US Army.  Occupying 22 human simulators, UMHS has set the golden standard for virtual patient-doctor training, offering more technology to it's students with high yield learning.  Every aspect of the hospital ward was well thought out.  From the ceiling tile and lighting to the wall color and flooring, you actually feel like you are in a hospital. No stone was left unturned.

Typically, medical students will be teamed with nursing students in dealing with real life situations using the human simulators.  When training, medical students will play the role of the physician and nursing students will play the role of the nurse.  They are given a pre-determined or possibly an unknown situation and are expected to respond as if it where reality.  This teamwork builds the doctor-nurse relationship.  Both students learn the role of their respective partner and realize what is expected of each profession.
